With 20 years of experience developing participatory learning, design and co-creation practices across diverse cultural and educational contexts her work explores how making, reflection and collective inquiry can enable people to engage with complex social and environmental challenges.

Through co-founding and leading programmes at Design-a-thon Works,Butterfly Works and Nairobits, creative methodologies, learning environments, and collaborative processes were developed with children, young people, educators, designers, and communities in more than 30 countries. This work has centred on learning-through-making, experimentation, and co-creation as ways of generating knowledge, agency, and new perspectives.

Current work focuses on expanding opportunities for children's civic participation within municipalities by supporting shifts in adult mindsets and developing practical design tools that enable meaningful participation.
